Vans vs Puma Content Marketing

As both of the brands are popular enough, I would like to create marketing Campaign for Puma because of its well known image and a recognisable status.
·         I am creating this campaign for Puma because this is my favourite brand and I would like to work for this brand too.
·         My idea is to make aware all the people using different social media platform about this brand and create a new and interesting image to buy this brand as now a days this brand is not only for the athletes but it is widely sold for their uniqueness and comfort as well as for fashion purpose.
·         Our audience is the population which uses the social media in their daily activities ages between 15 to 35 years.
·         Our goals are to get as much likes as we can on different social media platforms.
·         We are planning to launch this campaign this summer
·         We are going to promote this on Facebook, twitter, Instagram and Google+.

Twitter: https://twitter.com/PUMA_Py is an active puma fan page on twitter. It post about the Puma new arrivals and also use keywords and hashtags in their tweets. It has a huge number of followers and a high rating. 

Instagram: This is one of the most attractive and common and popular platforms of Social Media Websites because it is easy to use and posts only images and videos. Vans has many fan pages which are created by their fans or customers who like their products and services.

Twitter: As Vans is a popular and an international brand which is famous all over the globe. It has a large number of fans and followers. https://twitter.com/vans_mx is one of the most interesting and famous page we found on twitter.

  •       Vans upload 3-4 videos in a single day and Puma is not very active on Youtube, they upload a video after every week but their videos are always eye catching and motivational. They keep it short and attractive.
  •        Vans stress on the history of their company and posts the videos related to the making and history of Vans. They also upload videos related to their events which are driven by them on different places. On the other hand, Puma mainly upload the advertising videos on YouTube and make aware their customers about their upcoming products.
  •        They link their other social media accounts through youtube and also provide description about the company.
  • Vans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p7ulr_VPcA . This is the link of one of the most successful videos uploaded by Vans. The title of this video is Vans Mexico Skate Tour in Berlin. This video is viewed more than 500,000 times and has 2863 likes. Puma: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYQvQOssMlk this is the link of one of the most famous as well as successful advertisements of Puma. This video is viewed more than 2 million times in just two months and has 86 likes.
  • The video uploaded by Vans was successful because it is related with the people who are adventurous and love extreme sports. Puma uploaded an advertising video which had a great impact on the viewers because of its graphics and the game.

Vans vs Puma on Instagram

  •      Vans posts almost 2-3 posts everyday whereas Puma posts only single post in a day.
  •      Both brands posts videos and images as this social media website is made for just images and videos. These brands posts about the new arrivals and the events related to their company.
  •     This website is basically used for posting images and short videos up to 15 seconds only. So, these brand have to post important stuff in this limited time. These posts contain hashtags as well as keywords. Hashtags help the users to find this brand easily on Instagram and are used widely.
  •             Vans’s most successful image in these few days is same as they posted on twitter.   •              These two posts were successful because they took care of what their customers want. They made their post attractive and linked them to athletic trainers and athletes which helped them a lot.

Vans and Puma, both post creative images and videos on twitter. This is our comparison which we got after studying both brands.
·         Puma, like Facebook they go for a single post a day whereas Vans post at least two posts a day.
·         Vans is as much popular on twitter like puma. Vans posts about the promotions and new products on twitter and many videos about the history of Vans to aware the loyal customers of Vans about the history of the company. As we talk about Puma, this brand posts motivational videos related to their company and sponsored athletes.
·         Vans follows the 50/50 rule on twitter but Puma doesn’t go for 50/50 rule rather than motivation
·         Vans use many keywords and hashtags in their posts like #houseofvans and #vans_66 to make their page easier to find on twitter. Puma also use some keywords and hashtags like #turniton and #CHOOSESPEED.
·         This is the most successful post of Vans on twitter which got 162 re-tweets and 539 likes.
·         

·         This is the most successful post of Puma which got more than 1700 likes and474 re-tweets.

·       These two posts were successful because of their meaningfulness. Both of the posts used 50/50 rule and promote their snap-chat id.

After studying the last 25 posts of both brands, we can now compare both brands through Facebook in such a way:
·         Vans post at least two times on Facebook whereas Puma does 1 post a day.
·         Vans posts about new arrivals and the promotions. As I have seen in last 25 posts of vans on              Facebook, Vans mainly stress in the field of celebrity endorsement and promote their products            with the help of snowboarding events.
       As we talk about Puma, It is also a very popular brand and posts about their new products but              apart from that Puma posts their advertisement videos to aware their loyal customers about their          new products.
·         Vans always use the 50/50 rule in their most of the posts but on the other hand, Puma doesn’t go          with the 50/50 rule very much, they care about their product awareness.
·         Style is Everything: this is the keyword used by Vans very often in their posts. As we talk about          Puma, they use Puma Training in their posts
·         This was posted by Vans on December 9 and seems to be most successful post because there are          6400 likes and 560 shares on this post.




This video was posted by Puma on March 3, and one of the most successful posts of Puma because this post have 223,000 views, more than 3000 likes and 753 shares.



·         These posts are successful because both posts seems to be very attractive and they have use eye-catching colors.

The digital marketing campaign for the under armour is very interesting and successful. I would create the marketing campaign for the Reebok brand because it does not provide their effective digital marketing strategies.
  • Our strategy would be to give special offers and discounts to the regular or loyal customers.
  • Reebok’s audience would be all the people who follow the reebok’s accounts and pages on social media.
  • The major objective would be to give proper customer services and satisfaction through our effective and efficient efforts.
  • The launching of products or brands would be in summer around mid-June because of sports month.
